Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.
As a result of a successful tendering process, Together has expanded the services it offers to people with mental health problems in the West of Hampshire. The new services include supported accommodation and community support in the areas of Eastleigh, Test Valley, Winchester and the New Forest. Therefore, we are now looking for a Recovery Worker to join our existing team in Winchester; we are looking for a highly committed individual, who can demonstrate ability to relate and empathise with people with mental health problems, offer support around housing issues when needed, assess risk and manage their workload effectively.
You will be required to work independently, as well as part of a team and will need to have a degree of flexibility in your working pattern. A full and comprehensive training package will be tailored for you on completion of mandatory training and a successful probationary period. You will also have opportunities to develop specific skills in areas of expertise/interest and stretch your knowledge and working practices within the mental health field. As part of this role you will be expected to work early/ late shifts, weekends and some Bank Holidays.
We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BME backgrounds.
